XK / XKR ( X150 ) 2006 - 2014

First other one I've ever seen.

Default First other one I've ever seen.

Today I saw the only other X150 I've seen, anywhere. There are a TON of X100s near and around Northern Utah, but only mine and this other...
It was a Black on Black convertible 4.2 driving in Syracuse this afternoon. I was going the opposite direction in my wife's Lexus or I would have followed.

Anyone on here at all????

Our cars are somewhat rare. I rarely see one and I live in Phoenix! Although I have seen an increase in the X100's....not a huge increase, a slight increase. Also, when I drove coast to coast the summer before last and last summer, I could count on 1 hand, literally, the number of X150's I saw during the entire trip!!!! I think the number was 4 on the first, and five on the second. And we were looking while on the highway, when we stopped, etc. These car's just aren't your everyday occurrence......which suits me just fine.

Having driven in Utah (SLC) last year, I couldn't get my car out of there fast enough!
I've covered maybe 20 States and 5 countries. Utah drivers have got to be the worst road maniacs I've encountered (and I even lived there for 2 years!)...

I have no doubt that nice cars cannot survive there.

Location is probably the biggest factor. Weather also brings far more out. Very few drive in even occasional light rain around here.

I see about 1-2 XK's each week. One (very nice) day, I saw (3) on my commute home from work.

I've got a buddy in the car insurance business who somehow has the ability to see what cars are registered in the state and where they are. When I got the XKR I asked him to see how many were in the area. He only checked my county and there is only 1 other XKR and it was a 2007 Portfolio in dark blue with tan interior. There were no other XKR or XK in the county. Funny thing was that one day when I was out I met the guy and he lives 5 miles away from me. Other then that one I have not seen one while out for a drive in the 2 years I have owned ours. Now as a comparison I had owned a 77 Ferrari 308 and after getting the same info I found that there were 4 others in the county.

Agreed with the Horrible Drivers in Utah.
Even when I've been elsewhere, Las Vegas; San Diego; New York; Philadelphia; D.C.; Houston. I've not seen one XK.
I was even in Miami's South Beach and there were NONE. A bunch of Ferraris and Porches trolled the streets however. Those seemed so.... Generic.

I passed three X150s within 2 blocks of a commercial street in Beverly Hills yesterday. While they're not commonplace, I do see some every day. (although I see many, many more X100s everyday)

I regularly see X150s on the PCH, Sunset Drive and various freeways, but then this Southern California and probably the heart of Jaguar country in the USA.

Today I went to Concours where there were maybe 50 Jaguars dating from an SS100 up to two XFs. there were two world class early E-Types one a coupe 99.9 points and one an OTS 99.93 points both were flat floors, but no outside bonnet latches. There were also several XJS's, early XK series (120-140), but no X100s or X150s. Will try to post some pictures later this week.

Yesterday, while looking for a place to park for lunch, in a shopping area parking lot, only 1.5 miles from my house, I spot a 2010+ XK convertible, with the same color combo (radiance with a tan top) as my '07 XK!
Damn, there goes my exclusivity!
I didn't see the plates, and it was gone by the time we finished lunch, so I can only hope that it was an 'out of towner', just passing through.

it is very awesome that we own such rare cars. I sometimes forget this is the case because I see 2 every time I open the garage!!! only about 56,000 ever made minus the ones run into the ground and/or wrecked - not all have survived! These cars truly are a rare sighting even if readily available at an amazing price around the country. I literally look for a reason to drive mine whenever I am off...and if Im working...its going 100 miles round trip for the day as well!

I saw a silver XK coupe right next to my silver coupe on the 101 freeway yesterday. I believe it was a 2009. The interesting thing about it is it had a customized rear bumper (as does mine) with the exhaust exiting through the bumper and two roughly 10"X10" fine mesh screens at the bottom (similar to the rear of an old de tomaso Mangusta). This car was beautiful, the bumper was tapered so wonderfully, I wanted to follow him off the freeway and ask him where he got it, but I didn't have time. I snapped a picture with my cellphone and if I can figure out how to transfer it to a post I will.

I spotted another late model XKR vert at our local golf course as I was driving by yesterday. I hardly ever see another late model XKR vert around so I had to stop and take a pic of them together.

Rare sight indeed.

Reminds me of a photo I took maybe a year ago a couple of minutes from my house, three XKRs parked in a row (mine in the middle).
