First time at track with the Jag.. 12.3@114
was dissapointed in the mph but et was nice for bone stock 4000lb convertible.
Pretty sure with tune and pulley I can get in the 11s.

Cee Jay,
If you had to ride around in a GTR, you'd be miserable too! Had my first ride in one a couple of months ago, and never have I ridden in a worse feeling, sounding piece of crap in my life, at any price. It was that bad. I told my friend that I'd never ride in it again. Even 11 seconds down a drag strip would be too much.

114 on street tires in whatever their current condition was? That's really not bad at all.

Good to see someone else taking their car to the drag strip.
I only had session when the car was stock and by best mph then was 115.73. That jumped to 118.5 with the factory XKR-S tune on it and, as you can see from my signature, it is up to 126.04 now.

Yeah because the GTR can do the 1/4 in under 7 seconds. Look like something went wrong in the launch or he didn’t know how to drive it.

I still can’t believe the 2020 Nismo trim from Nissan is $210k USD....so many nicer cars at that price. But I think those who love the GTR, LOVE the GTR and are a different breed. And there’s tons of them where I live.
stock GTRs dont run anywhere near 7sec et..
they are low 11s stock. throw in a bad driver and your in the 13s..
that being said I dont know what, if anything was done to the one in the video.
from Car and Driver road test:
the 11.2-second sprint to 1320 feet makes this model as quick through the quarter-mile as any GT-R we've tested,
including the 600-hp Nissan GT-R NISMO.
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.1 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 12.3 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 3.9 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.8 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.1 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.2 sec @ 125 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 192 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 151 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.95 g

my 08 Xkr did best or 12.5 And this is in high elevation track, So would be in low 12s at sea level. My car is a convertible as well and don't forget that it does weigh around 200lb more than a coupe.
Since you do drag racing I would love to tune your car , and will offer you a discount if you can post back results after tuning. Send message on Skype : SeekerAlex

STOCK was sort of implied, such as you can say "Ford Mustangs do the 1/4 in 3.2 seconds" because John Force races in a Mustang.
I agree! You can’t claim a car does seven seconds in the quarter mile without any limiters or explanation because people are going to think you’re talking about the stock motor. I mean if I told you Volkswagen does a seven second quarter mile You would laugh at me until I explained how modified the motor and chassid were
You’re all way over thinking this and missed the point. I clearly said CAN I never said that it DOES.
REGARDLESS that had to be one of the slowest GTRs ever if it lost to a stock 5 litre XKR.

Looks like great fun! I don't know of any tracks in Southern California that let convertibles on, but perhaps someone here can enlighten me.
