Default Found Working SDD clone Cable

Hi,

Just wanted to share with fellow Jaguar owners that i found a working SDD clone cable.
you can purchase it on amazon, under name: VXDIAG VCX Nano JLR SDD Diagnostic Programming Tool for Jaguar and Land Rover
LINK LINK

cable comes with 4 DVDs there is no instructions, i had to ask seller for help, but he was very responsive and send a video explaining how to install the software. and a newest patch file. I installed it on older lenovo laptop with fresh windows 7 32 bit system

I bought the cable to run diagnostics as I got flashing Adaptive Headlight System on a cluster. so not sure how would programming go with the cable, but for $100 it was money well spent.

Lots of people are scared of Clone cables because they have been known to blow up Control Units while programming and updating them. I went the in-between route and got a DA Dongle instead of an original Mongoose.
Hey, if it works for you, score! $100 is throw-away money, so as long as it does what it should and doesn't melt your car, all the better.

I will be using it only for diagnostics I would not trust a clone cable to program any modules

I'm still looking for a comprehensive cable and reprogramming option, without a shocking cost or bootlegging software.

Wish a vendor would pony-up with a serious solution and support to back it without breaking the bank. My Audi system allowed access to all modules, and both full technical and forum support. $500 for the works, but worth every penny.

I have that setup from ebay, and still haven't got it working. Been through hours trying to get it to install and got frustrated with it.

do you have SDD version 145?

make sure you use windows 7 64bit

and follow steps in video belowhttp://www.mediafire.com/file/aat2hs9vlcr86hx/JLR_145_vxdiag_sp240.avi

then use patch below

After you enter user name and password, after you log in, you have to disconnect network. Otherwise will get error.

If you only want diagnostics functions then you'd be better off with one of the Jaguar/Land Rover specific hand-held devices from iCarSoft or such like. No need for a laptop that way, can easily keep it in the car, also no faffing about for ages with the SDD software which requires Windows XP, basically has to be the only thing on the machine and will need stuff like system clocks messed about with etc. to work because it'll be a cracked copy.

iCarsoft won't display 5 digit OBD codes, only generic 4 digit codes.
