Default frozen top

Hey guys, second day of ownership and I've run into trouble. Got the battery replaced and didn't know that the the top wouldn't go down if the luggage separator wasn't in place. The front portion of the top raised and stopped. Wouldn't go down or up. Had to release pressure at the motor and use the Allen key to get it to latch so I could go home. The dash still says "hood not latched" and the rear windows won't go up. How do I reset it all?

There are many threads about resetting the top. If this doesn't help, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...t-work-160505/ search for "reset top". If all else fails, PM WhiteXKR (Steve, the Jag Wrangler and remote control soft top inventor and convertible top guru) for help.

Man oh man, problem solved. What a pain. two manual Resets, pulling fuse 8 about 5 times, and half a million window resets later I have a working top again.

Congratulations! That's the best kind of pain - the feeling of accomplishment! You have to suffer some pain to fully appreciate the joy!
