So it has fewer horses than an XKR-S? (According to the article...)

Track focused...

Very nice! The hp is the same-550 hp - someone can chime in on the different way of measuring hp in Europe resulting in 542 hp.
The faster 0-60 for the gt must be do to less weight (no back seat?) and slightly wider rear tires (305 vs 295)
The Xjr looks awesome- I really like where jag is headed.
Now they need to get back into racing - alms or wec

Rumor has it that the Fast and Furious 7 went into full production after the producers got their hands on an XKR-S GT.

IMO it's hideous, but...Aston has its LM car, so Jag should too. It's a limited run of 25, and magazines will take note of it. Anything that gets Jaguar to be a familiar and relevant name again is a worth it. The SLS Black Series is gross, but every car magazine is drooling over a test drive...so, too, I imagine will be the case with the XKR-S GT.

Glad to see the continued efforts to raise the bar at Jaguar. Particularly glad to see them use carbon ceramic brakes, and trying a new suspension system that's height adjustable. These are sure to find their way into the F-Type for a more track focused model to compete with its most obvious rivals.

Default Spoilerssss

Whats up with the double trunk spoilers?

I'm sure Russell Peters would agree, you can really see the Indian Motor Company ownership's influence...

No offense intended, just referencing a great comedian and my impression of trying too hard... Its like the new C7, trying to be too many other cars, they might as well call it the xkr-s amg black series...

What really disappointed me was it actually says "Carbon Ceramic" on the caliper. Really!?! wow! Don't say that on Ferraris caliper as it should be a given at this level.

The performance suspension options are most welcome. The faster steering ratio is also a welcome change.

The visual additions will be very controversial. It is too much of a Boy Racer, IMO. The rear wing is downright terrible, looking like an after-thought in the same mold as those huge wings installed on cheap Honda Civics, driven by some pimple-faced teenager.

You know it's good when Autoblog points out that it's "street legal".

I don't mind the rear wing. Unlike the XKR-S, this car doesn't even try to look like a street car. It looks more like a Le Mans racer.

Remember when everyone made fun of the Korean companies for producing cars that would just cut-and-paste discordant pieces of various Jags, Fords, Cadillacs, BMWs, and MBs all to make one car? Now the Koreans have some of the most original designs....

Ford is the current king of rip-off, but Chevy isn't far behind. The C7 front is a Ferrari rip-off; the side is an over-styled mess of "take-your-pic-supercar"; and the rear end is an upscale Camaro.

Let's hope Jaguar doesn't start copying everyone else. I continue to appreciate Jaguar (the brand) grabbing attention, but I just hope that they don't forget that the initial keys to their current growing success is the originality of their designs without the cheese puff.

I think this is what we could expect from any car manufacturer with an aging platform at the end of its life cycle, which the current XK is!

True. One thing is for sure: The XK derivatives certainly make Maserati look lazy....

But I don't think a full-on replacement for the XK is due for two more model years, at least that's what I thought. It would be after the full roll-out of the F-Type derivatives is complete.

Hats off to Jag for making such a car. I really like the xke type louvers on the hood, ceramic brakes & the rear diffuser. Dont like: the rear spoiler. I guess there trying to attract a younger crowd....why less HP than the XKR-S?

Yup, agreed. The styling makes me want to puke but if it helps them raise profile I'm all for it.

I like the XJR more, save for the big 'Jaguar' letters on the boot. I don't think anyone needs help knowing what that leaper stands for. :-)

The front grill looks like a Mitsubishi EVO...not sure if it's an upgrade to the standard xk/xkr ford taurus oval grill... The front winglets don't fit to the overall look of the front end. Maybe they're too big? The rear wing doesn't look right on the back end either. I know it's a track car for downforce and other track cars has them (PCar GT3, MB AMG Black Series, M3 GTS) but for some reason the other cars with them look ok but not on the XKRS-GT. At least they didn't completely riced/butchered it like the Lambo Veneno.

Too racy for my taste, but i think it will do well. I can't stand black series and they are a hot commodity.

Jaguar is trying to get attention and it will benefit them in terms of marketing as they released the F type, with the XS on the way etc.

To top things off, here is the official video for the XKR-S GT.....enjoy it fellas.
