Gentlemen - Introducing Jaguar XKR-S GT
I like the performance but forget the styling. Looking at the front, my first thoughts were GTR. Great car, but Nissan is not a designated gentleman's racer. At 25 units, Jaguar doesn't need to worry about sales, these will find their homes if they haven't yet. However, if this is a sign of things to come, I'll be out looking for an early XKR Coupe...
Ahh come on, don't let that stop you. Several hard laps around the track and they will be graphite gray ))
I think people are focusing on the styling too much and not what the car represents--a challenge to the GT3RS, etc., at least in "spirit". Now if they can just make a return to motorsports, I think they can resurrect the brand more completely.
It may give some of you comfort to know that many on the Corvette forum are trashing the new C7 model coming out later this year, and there's countless threads about it. They think its styling is just awful. What a horrible forum.

IMO the XKR-S GT looks better than the XKR-S. The bonnet is killer! Two things looks out of place: 1) they left the standard spoiler on the hatch and 2) they should have mounted the carbon fiber spoiler at the edges of the hatch, not in the middle. They have yet to mention if there is a rear seat delete option or an available roll bar.
Agreed!! With a spoiler like that can you imagine how many racer boys it would attract when you're at a stoplight? Not something I want to deal with.

Other than the spoiler on top of the spoiler, I think it looks cool. IMO the weirdest thing about it is that they keep pushing the XK in this direction, even beyond what they did with the XKR-S. I can only think they must be in a rush to change their image or something, because I would have thought that an XF hardtop would have been a more fitting car to put the big wing on, stiffen the suspension, and turn into a track car.
The thing that I like most about the XK is that its NOT a 911. I think the car is cool, and I mean they're making 25 of them so its really just a concept. I just wonder if the concept is more about the brand's direction than the XK line (isn't the rumor that the XK is going to go bigger and more up-market soon?).

Later next year the F-Type R will follow. And he is positive a F-Type RS will come out just before a mid-cycle refresh is due. Expect a massive wing on that one. The way things are going, it might even have three massive wings on its trunk....
Yeah, F-Type is what I meant, not enough coffee apparently. I have a feeling the hardtop is going to look awesome, we'll see. I still like my XK too much, and the price on the F Type is too high, for me to consider trading anything in... but I'm interested regardless.
The same would have to be said for the Porsche 911 GT-RS!
1HP = 1.01387PS
So it's the same output as the XKR-S.
I think they should have not used the stock spoiler at all. To have the little one with the other added looks sort of like a tacky add on IMHO. But I must say it is nice to see such a focused version of the XK. Makes me want to consider keeping mine and hardcoring it out!
