Good/Bad News
I picked up my new '08 Ebony/Charcoal XKR Coupe yesterday but on the way home the check engine light went onand went to limp mode. Brought it right back to the dealer and found out the auxillary motor isn't working. First day andit's back to the shop.Alittle concerned on reliability now.....hopefully it's just a odd coincidence.
Talk about disappointment. You didn't even get to wake up to her in the morning. Stay positive, better now than when you're on your first date with that hottie and she goes down on you...limp is not the mode to be in.[sm=boohoo.gif]
Awesome pun there h20boy, but sorry to hear about your problem Ghost. I know that the car is very reliable and not many people have had problems so far...but good thing that it happened now and see if maybe you can get another one because of your concern of it being a lemon.
Thanks guys. I got the car back yesterday and everything seems to be running great. They replaced the Auxillary Motor as the service advisor said there were some designed flaws from factory and the new redesigned aux motor is what they replaced it with. Not sure if he was giving me a bunch of crap but all I want was the car to be fixed.Still babying it but the car gets lots of looks. Haven't read through the entire manual but can someone give me the break-in procedures? I heard 5K miles for break in.....

Ummm....just throwing this out. By the time your cars are ready for sale, they have been royally broken in by the tech on the road test.
Drive it like you want to drive it. The break in thing is more of a guideline to cover Jags butt. Only problems people have mostly is software bugs that we can reprogramme and fix.
