Default GT Rear-end Showdown

As jaguar owners i know we all can be a little bias from time to time but I would like to see which rear-end we all rate to be the most aesthetically pleasing

Yes, I am biased, as I've put the LED tail lights and XKR quad tip exhaust on my '07 XK, but from a pure aesthetic point of view, I'd have to give an edge to the DB9. I think it's the tail lights that draw me in.
Please don't hate me. :-(

It's a close second in my book.

Well,
Let's start with the worst rear end of the four, the Bentley, just plain ugly.
Second worst is the Maserati, just not shapely.
The Aston and the Jaguar are very close. I like elements of each. I very much like the simplicity and elegance of the Aston rear end as well as the taillights. I very much DISLIKE the single exhaust pipes poking through the open slot below the bumper, they disappear.
The XKR's rear is the most shapely and the dual exhaust pipes on each side give it the most aggressive look. However, there is a certain busy-ness to it, with emblems, different shapes of the lights...
I would vote it a draw between the XKR and the Aston.
Finally, I have an alternative! (See below)

I like the Mazerati, myself, but only the back end. I think the XKR is a much more attractive car, overall. I wouldn't say no to the Bentley, however, if someone was to insist that I have it.

Maserati rear end looks the most fanciful and thought out with the Aston in 2nd place. The XK lacks the rear end air flow management underneath. Bentley is just too plain, also with little regard to air flow.

That being said, I don't mind driving behind any of the above.

DB9 and XKR tied, but the DB9 appears wider and lower, so the '9 got my vote.

That was my thought process pretty much exactly, though the quad pipes on the Jag were enough to tip it over the line.

The Maserati is a surprise, in some ways they look beautiful, but there is always something odd about them.

The rear quarter hips on the XK are best out of the three with DB in 2nd place.

Default big hips

The DB9 and xkr have very similar looking rear windows so can't seperate the two there however once we move down to the actual rear of the vehicle thats where the similarities end . The xkr has the rounder, fuller & wider looking rear end creating a super aggressive look whilst the DB9 has more of a squarish look to it more like the maserati in comparison.

I do like the look of the maserati tail pipes they look super neat tucked in the rear bumper yet still maintain a aggressive look to the vehicle

The DB9 tailpipes do look very weak and look like the belong on a 4cyl they need to be a lot larger in diameter to match the rest the vehicle

Personally I think the best viewing point of a xkr is from the rear its perfection in contrast with the Maserati I think the worst angle to view it from is the rear its a let down compared to the rest of the vehicle however having said that its side profile can't be beaten

Default Vantage S vs XK

Hopefully this doesn't sway the judging towards the Aston voters !

Steve,
Now you're cheating, the Vantage rear end is far better than the DB9 (in fact, for me, the Vantage is the best looking Aston, period), so I believe the voting would be much different had it been Vantage vs. XKR vs. Bentley vs. Maserati

Haha lucky for us the vantage isn't eglible for the voting process it fails the 2+2 configuration
However I pose this question Vantage S vs F-type ...sorry but looks like I might have opened a can of worms

I agree that the Maserati is a bit on the awkward side. xk is my choice

This is a good direct comparison between the two Brits
