Has anybody heard of SGI Services for an Extended Warranty?
I am looking at a used 2008 Jaguar that is not a Select Edition (although it is being offered by a Jaguar dealer). They said that they prefer to sell the Platinum extended warranty by SGI instead of the Select Edition because it is better than the Select Edition. SGI Services (Spikes Group, Inc.) Creating Success through Quality Service...
SGI Platinum Extended Warranty adds 4 years to factory 4 year warranty, or up to 100,000 miles. Cost $3,500.
They said the Select Edition warranty is $2,500.
Any experience with SGI or thoughts on going with the SGI vs. Select Edition warranty???
Thx!

My local dealer is recommending them. He showed me two current jobs he has in the shop where they are saving over $4,000; just paying a $200 deductible. Since my '08 XK is almost off factory warranty, I'm seriously considering it. Seems like a good investment if planning to keep car for a while as repairs aren't cheap

Just bought 09' XKR Portfolio. Warranty runs out today from Jaguar. I bought it from an Aston Martin Dealership and they recommended CNA. Did research, BBB rated A+, list of exclusions is the same as Jaguar and 3 yr/ 36,000miles was $2,400.
If I did select edition, it was 2/100,000 for $2800. The dealerships I talked with were more in favor of 3rd party than Jaguar Select for the value. Find out what your dealership where it will be serviced prefers and look in that direction. They will be the one's to help you if a repair is needed.
