Default Headlight Issue

Hi Guys, ive got a jaguar xk 2007 model which i had to change the front headlights for.

ive put the non adaptive headlights and now i have the adaptive headlight bulb continuosly flashing on the dashboard.

is there any way i can get rid of this? as the headlights work fully and not worried about the lights being adaptive as they were an optional feature.

cheers guys
joe

What you could try is to put a resistor between the positive and negative terminal from this bulb connector. This resistor needs to have the same resistance (in Ohms) as the bulb would give. It would make the electronics believe the bulb is still present.

Of course this won't work if the system is sensitive of how many Watts it uses.
