Headlight Question...
While driving at night, low beams on dark unlit roads I have noticed my passenger side headlamp will illuminate what I would call a decent distance, say average. The drivers side headlamp only illuminates 1/2 the distance and leaves a considerable dark spot in my field of vision. To the point if I'm going around a left hand curve I'm pretty well blind.
Is this a lamp that needs adjusting or aimed? or did Jag do this to avoid hitting oncoming drivers with glare?
Love my XK, but this is 1 of 2 quirks that's killin me! 2nd is cupholders. lol

Hi Cigar Guy,
I have no idea about the newer XK's, but my '03 definately has the driver side headlight set lower than the passenger side. The way I understand it, to not blind on coming traffic. I believe they are adjustable, however.

I looked in my service manual and it says to adjust the allen key bolts on the interior side of the headlamp assy with the hood up. One bolt raises-lowers the other does left to right. I can't access a hosting site from work but I put it in my album. Maybe that will help you. Of course it did say to use the headlamp leveling/adjusting equipment mounted on the light.
