For those that have redone their headliners, what adhesive did you use? How about material? I dropped mine last night- was super easy and took all of 20 minutes. Most of that time was spent trying to get in and out of the back seat lol!!

20 minutes to get the XK headliner out - did you find instructions somewhere or did you just start taking out the other upright column ones first? I have used the 3M spray adhesive - to both sides and let each dry before putting together. If adhesive is 'wet' the pressure from touching will look like a stain from too much adhesive - good luck - It on my list to do this XK - my old X-Type was easy because I didn't have to remove the side columns.

This was really easy. There’s literally 6 screws. 4 up
front for the sun visors and 2 in the back for the hooks. The rest is just push pins basically. The light in the middle and the side/rear pillars. I’ve read about this 08060 3m that’s supposed to be great for it. Being in Florida, it gets a lot of heat.

Tiretrauma,
I have access to an imitation suede very much like the oem Alcantara. It comes in over 100 colors, is 60" wide and runs less than $5.00 per running yard. It is a great product that I have gotten for many forum members in the past. Let me know if I can be of help.

I can take some of the fabric, but it essentially looks just like the Alcantara and feels like it and suede as well. I will take some when I get home this afternoon and post.
