Default Help finding a part number.

I know loads of folks have had the duckbill issue, but has anyone attempted to replace the fabric sound dampening material that's below the AC blower? Mine is shot to hell from the previous owner letting it get wet constantly and I can't find a damn part number for it anywhere..

There are two possible items you are looking for - the semi-rigid panel that fits immediately under the glovebox on the passenger side and the insulation material that sits on top of the panel. Assuming your XK is RHD, SNG Barrett has the part listed as C2P17130.

An image of the part is below. Note it is special order. Also note the image does NOT show the insulation material - I am not sure whether the part comes with this material or not.

I am certain it comes as one piece

Jaguar Pad-Insulation C2P17130

EDIT: I'll sell you mine as I don't care if it is there or not.

Yes, it comes as one piece. Mine was torn where the clips go through and a previous owner tried to repair with duct tape, which doesn’t stick well to the material. So I bought a new one. Cheap enough online.

Mine was sagging a bit when I bought the car - perhaps from prior encounters with a clogged AC condenser drain. I've not run the AC since I bought in September, but will have to investigate before next summer.

I went online hunting for a replacement, but decided to try a fix myself since the pad was otherwise in good shape and I did not want to spend that much at the time. I rigged up a small I-beam by gluing together two thin pieces of plexiglass sheet I had lying around and stitched it onto the pad from above with high-tensile fishing line. It acted to stiffen the pad and stop the sagging, at least for now. And the repair of course is completely invisible to anyone not in Cirque de Soleil.

Cost $0.00.
