Help needed
Last week my screen washers stopped working and within 20 minutes I got the 'COOLANT LEVEL LOW' warning on dashboard?
I have fitted both brand new washer pump and expansion tank ( Genuine Jaguar parts £248) and still have the problems
Has anyone got a solution please??

1. Look into the tank and see if it's full (since you likely filled it earlier).
2. If its not full, or is empty, one of the three gaskets in the tank, (around the two pumps and the level sensor) is leaking.
3. If it's full, the level sensor may have been inserted upside down, or be stuck. Check it, and meter it if you do to make sure it's in the correct position.
4. Finally, the tank may be cracked, but this is rare.
If none of these, check back here.

Hiya Panthera999
Thanks for the reply, but checked everything and no leaks. Expansion tank has built in sensor, (Sealed unit) Fluids all correct, no leaks anywhere.
With the 'Coolant Level low' and washer pump stopping within the same hour, I was wondering if this is an electrical problem (Fuse or auxiliary power unit)

There may be some confusion here. We may be confusing expansion tank and "coolant low" which is solely related to coolant, with windshield washer tank, solely related to windshield fluid. Can you clarify which system you're talking about? I understood you to be talking about the windshield washer system.
let's assume you're talking about coolant level low sensor only. As you can see, the expansion tank should be full, or near to it. If it is and you're getting a coolant level low indication, and it's probable that there's something wrong with the coolant level sensor in the expansion tank. You can check underneath to make sure it's plugged in, or there hasn't been some corrosion in the connector. I can direct you to the proper electrical manual if you need it. They are related to your VIN, so if you want the right one please post the last five digits.

Thanks again for your reply.
I have 2 issues::
'Low coolant level' warning on instrument panel. I have replaced the expansion tank with a brand new one, so in built sensor should be good. I take your point and will check the connection for corrosion.
VIN: ALB33122
Second issue: No windscreen washers. Replaced pumps but still nothing?
Both of these issues appeared within an hour, so was wondering if there is a there is a link;/related electrically that is.
