They will if there is consensus.

Defamation may be a concern, that's why they may not.

Your assuming the forum is a democracy!

Let's see how it develops and take it from there.

People blasting dealers should not be tolerated but factual, objective experience backed by facts and not fueled by emotion would not be defamation.

I don't know if that would work. If 10 people went to a certain dealer, 5 would say they had bad experience, the other 5 would say they got white glove service. That's just how it is with any product or service.
What is that say about a dealer or service provider? Not much at all. I don't know if factual information can be extracted from that.

If the moderators want to sticky it, the decision is theirs.

I have to agree. This subject can be so very subjective. As in my example with my ongoing XJL ride issue. I have developed a real good relationship with my Service Manager, we pat each other on the back, tell jokes, have fun but, my car is not getting fixed. Work promised tends to slip and not get done because of some unexpected variables. So, how would I rate the dealership???

You'd explain that there was mishaps were there but they took responsibility for it and made it right. I'd go there based on that.

I tell my clients that they don't know if they have a good vendor or not until they have a chance to react to a mistake - THAT is how you tell if you are a good service provider or not.

Jaguar XK XKR S | eBay
I suspect the dealer didn't acept the 83 000 $ bid and pull out. He guess he haad a minimum price? That's a good news for us who have already an XKRS. At 83 000 $, it's way too low IMO. I wouldn.t let mine go for that price.

Car has been sold......XKR-S no longer shows on dealership direct website.

It's gone, but no way to tell what it sold for. Perhaps new owner will show up here on Jaguar Forums in the future.

It also could have been sold to another dealership or at auction.

Lots of speculation on this XKR-S continues.

I plan to follow the CarFax and see where it gets registered.

I will let everyone know.

Inquiring minds will want to know including myself.

I would NOT buy a vehicle like that if it is on e-bay. Something fishy Lucie!! Even if it is a dealer. Its used and old!! Price too high. E-bay is last resort for a dealer.

Don't underestimate EBay Motors...it's a great marketing tool for dealerships and it's a proven success for dealerships to sell cars via electronic media. Some of the largest automobile dealerships in the USA use eBay Motors to list and sell cars.

Some thoughts and data about eBay Motors:

While most of our time on eBay Motors is spent looking for a good eBay Find of the Day article or daydreaming about our next project vehicle, there are plenty of people who actually use the site to purchase cars and parts – to the tune of $3.7 billion in Q3 2012 alone. With the year coming to a close, eBay Motors has revealed the top makes and models that have rolled across its virtual auction block and where these purchases were made.

The Big Three occupied the top three spots for the top makes, while American muscle cars (Mustang, Corvette and Camaro) and Ford pickup trucks (F-250 and F-150) were the top five models. Of the $3.7 billion brought in during Q3 2012, eBay says that $2 billion was from vehicle sales and the remaining $1.7 billion was from parts and accessories. Not surprisingly, more than three-quarters of all vehicles sold on eBay during this same time period were interstate transactions with California, Florida and Texas drawing the most sales.

Scroll down to see the full list of the top five makes and models sold on eBay Motors in 2012 as well as the top 10 US states in which sales were made. Top five makes sold on eBay Motors in 2012:
Ford
Chevrolet
Dodge
Mercedes-Benz
Toyota

Top five models sold on eBay Motors in 2012:
Ford Mustang
Chevrolet Corvette
Chevrolet Camaro
Ford F-250
Ford F-150

Top ten U.S. states that sold the most vehicles on eBay Motors in 2012:
California
Florida
Texas
New York
Illinois
Pennsylvania
Ohio
New Jersey
Michigan
