Default holly cow finally installed 1.5lb pulley only took me no less than 8 hours

Just a heads up on an 08 xkr to get the pulley off and on is a big pain in the butt. equipment :1.5lb eurotoys pulley and eurotoys tool.
Radiator support has to come off, draining coolant, piping has to come out of the way and some of the hoses are really baked on on there, belt off. Then when it came to remove the pulley off it's a beach, even with a 2 ft breaker bar it was hell of a work out and a long process. Install was not any easier.
Finally took her for a ride after 2 days of work. Can't really say I feel a big difference maybe slightly better pickup, need to drive more to confirm and take her to the drag strip

Congratulations on getting the job done. More thanks for warning us to let an experienced shop do it, lol

Did you dyno the car before the job? Before and after runs are the best way to quantify change. However old and new time slips are good too. Enjoy.

You should see some improvement with low end torque. With a remap, you'll be able to yield the full benefit of increased boost.

Had mine done and went for 10% 2.5lb pulley, gives you a lot more and when it is that much trouble to fit it was worth it.

The snout of the supercharger had to be filed down by 2mm all round for the small pulley. I bought the pulley of powerhouseuk. They told me it could be fitted without removing the supercharger , but it is impossible to get a good job done this way and would have caused a mess.
The guy who done it for me (Ken) took the supercharger off to do a professional job. The coolant had to be drained and throttle body taken off and another few pieces. The supercharger belt still fitted when the work was finished.
I had mine remapped as well by Black Code Remapping.

The only mod i had was the performance exhaust. Top end is near the same ,but lower end is astonishing. The slightest touch of throttle and it's gone. Seems to change up the gears quicker and smoother. The power up to 3,000 revs is massive. It's just hard to describe, simply amazing.

Think maybe you should have went for the 2.5lb when you had so much to do, either way it is a seriously good upgrade.

I went with a 1.5lb hoping to stay as close to stock reliability as possible. Replaced coolant with 70 distilled water 30 coolant for more efficient cooling. Thinking about high flow cats in the future.
Did not dyno the car but have a few time slips from different 1/4mi tracks.
