I purchased my 2007 XK from interstate. Now whenever I go to enter an address in the satnav the search area defaults to the state where I bought the car, not the state I am in.

How can I change the default search area? I could not find anything in the Navigation Settings.

 

I had to do this at the weekend in Chicago, I think from memory there's a button at the bottom of the screen before you enter address info.

 

Pretty simple. You have to change the "search area" on the main page of the nav system. When it's change, it will stay there. The search area button is located at the bottom part of the touchscreen. Every time you change state or country, you have to change that search erea. Jaguar nav can't figure by himself where the car is! Old tech!

Thanks for replying. I thought that was the case but even if I change the search area to my state the next time I am in the car and go to enter an address it is reset back to the previous state.

 

I think I would remove and re-insert the DVD if nothing else seems to work.
