Dealer wont deliver the car to have a PPI but will allow a mechanic free reign of their facility. Any help would be appreciated

 

Maybe also try in the Regional section of this forum, good chance someone would be in that area. Maybe not an XK guy, but some people are quite good at looking at things.

Not yet. It’s frustrating to say the least. If the stars align, I might fly over on Monday but Tuesday travel is slammed because of turkey day.

I had my clueless brother check out my car before I bought it. He doesn't know a danged thing about cars. I asked him to look around and find ANYTHING weird, even minor, and send me a picture. He sent ONE, it was a minor scrape on the bumper bottom, right side.
I bought that car, he drove it from DFW to Norther Utah for me, I paid his airfare back.
I was extremely happy with the way the purchase played out.

 

The only vehicle I didnt have a PPI done is my RR because it was under factory warranty. This is from a non Jag dealer and I have a general mistrust for dealers for obvious reasons. Another PPI guy fell through today. This is a busy time for my flying wise and the flood gates open on Friday. Its not the end of the world, but im not gonna close the deal without codes being pulled and frame/body checked for damage. I wish I knew my flight schedule as I could pop over, but I might be half way across the world a week from now.

 

Update....I had to resort to an online company to send out a person. That person might be a potato or stellar. Fingers crossed.
