I've always thought his work on the XK was derivative of the DBs and consequently better.

It's always a question, how many great cars does a great designer have in him? I personally prefer the XK over the XF ever so slightly.

However, current design is much restricted by government mandates such as bumper height, light placement, etc. To produce a car like the XF in the current environment is the work of genius. Ian is the real article.

I really enjoyed watching the video revealing Callum's passion since a child. I also found it interesting that he paid such praise to Tom Tjaarda about half way through the video. Tjaarda's most famous design, the De Tomaso Pantera of the early '70s is obviously one of my favorites as well. I think both Callum and Tjaarda are design geniuses, and I haven't been able to resist either of their best.

XK was Ian's best of that GT shape. I have had my XK parked side by side with Vantage and DB9 and everyone swooned to my car. DB is low and Vantage is small compared to XK.

Did Tjaarda design the Laforza too? I use to love that SUV, my room mate back in the day had one and compared Jeep Cherokee and Range Rover (of the era); the Laforza was a beast.

Of all the Astons, I think the Vantage is the most attractive and well proportioned. I don't like the DB's, expecially compared to the XK's, generation one or two.
