Default Indie mechanics south of Houston

My ‘07 XK ‘vert threw a CEL, with a P0411 code. My normal indie can’t diagnose (no SDD). Local dealer (JLR Clear Lake) says they don’t work on cars more than 10 years old. Can you believe it? Next nearest dealer is 45 minute drive away. Anyone know of an indie with SDD south of Houston? Thanks I’m advance!

How do you fix a secondary air injection system malfunction?
What repairs can fix the P0410 code?
  1. Replacing the air injection pump and power relay.
  2. Replacing O2 sensors that respond too slow as they age.
  3. Replacing the air injection pump intake filter clogged with debris.

That's BS, I have mine in at the local JLR dealer for some major work. There was a older XK in there in excellent condition. Fortunately there is a local Jag club with many members so I think the dealer will be providing service for year to come - hopefully.

Loads of Range Rovers in the dealership but not any new Jags.

I've been hearing the same thing here in Fl. Some dealers will not work on any Jags older than 10 years. With regards to dealerships closing...there are 3 JLR dealerships in my area. I haven't heard anything about Jag leaving, but most of the cars in service are Land Rovers.

Try contacting brutal on Jag Forums. He’s a tech with one of Houston jaguar dealerships, he is incredible and a real asset when it comes to me doing maintenance/services on my current jaguars

Best of luck, and if unable to reach him PM me directly. I’ll provide you his info.

best

How does JLR allow dealerships to turn away cars for service just because they're ten years old? How does JLR expect owners to maintain their cars? A Jaguar is meant to be a long term hold.
