My recently purchased 2008 XKR did not come with a spare or an instant mobility kit. Checking with the dealer, they say this model did not come with either. I do not mind not having a spare, but I think I would like to have the instant mobility kit for an emergency. The dealer quotes $250 which seems a little high.
I have a good electric tire pump. What other items are included and can I get those elsewhere?
The other option is to just rely on AAA.

If a spare isn't important to you, I think AAA is a must-have. Even with the so-called "instant mobility kit", you're dead in the water with a sidewall puncture since that won't hold air. Since you already have a 12v tire inflator, all you need to get is a can of Fix-a-Flat to complete that kit.

Do you have a jack and lug wrench? Are your tires run-flats? If your car has the optional Alcon brake package, it came from the factory without a spare/jack/lug wrench but with the Instant Mobility Kit. A previous owner may have removed that kit. I think your dealer may be mistaken.

Keep a Bible in the trunk and pray you never get a flat!

hmmm... I don't know if I agree with your dealer. I have the spare.
And I have purchased a Continental mobility kit... cheap insurance.
NTB: I have the 20" rims.
