Interior care.
Giving the engine bay and wheel wells a break until I get her into one of the two Indie shops.
Want to start babying the interior for a bit.
Clean her up and apply some protectants.
Seems there are 3-4 materials inside:
Plastic - like head unit buttons and vents
Diff plastic - like top of the doors
Leather - I’m good here as a 15+ year saddleback guy
Other?
Got two things going on. Bumps and scrapes and just normal wear and tear.
A few small gouges in, for example, the top of the driver door. Can I make those go away?
The flat black paint on the JGate plate. Is there an exact color match?
The aluminum/chrome (specific to Portfolio I think) surround for the JGate has small knicks. Can I polish those out?
Anyone fix the worn to heck metal rings on the bottom of the cup holders?
Any other known to look like crap over the years interior items?
I know there is an entire thread at the top level of the forum, but most are ancient, many products aren’t around and links are dead. Plus it covers 60 years of jag models with varying materials.
I’d like to know what you guys do and what you use specific to our cars.
Thanks!

Repairing a high wear area (upper door trim area - if you rest your arm there 'all' the time) is a wasted effort as the repair material is more fragile than the original.
I filled one or two small gouges and then dyed...not noticable unless you look for it.
Chrome plating is thin and hard. You cannot remove scratches in chrome. Polish and wax will increase the reflective quality and hide the actual imperfections a bit.
