Default iPhone 3GS docking issue

I just traded my Galaxy Note to my wife for her iPhone. Docked and paired it to my 07 XK Ok but it did not pick up my phone contacts. Went to phone and made sure auto download was on. But it did not pick up my contact list. Anybody got an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Not sure. There have been issues with various phones docking and downloading the phonebook correctly.

What iOS version is the phone running?

All I can say is that my 07 XK (Vin B11139) wouldn't download contacts from my HTC Desire, but works perfectly with my iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1)

Finally got it to take the contact list. Took a couple tries but working now. Thanks. Glad to hear it works on the 4S. I was going to wait for iPhone 5 but I'm going to go ahead and switch to the 4S

I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't work - but the folks at the Apple store said I could bring the phone back within 14 days if it didn't work.

And then, luckily, the iOS update to 5.1 came out within a few days of my getting the phone, so I figured if the update broke it, I'd take the phone back and get one with iOS5.01 again. But the update didn't break it.

It is my first Apple product.

It does some things better than my Android did (better Exchange integration, supports NTLM authentication, downloads contacts to the car, takes better pictures) and some things are worse (I miss widgets and speed dial icons, and the music player on the android is easier to use) - but that aside - it is a pretty good smart phone. I guess these days with a smart phone they are all pretty much the same - unless someone has a particular axe to grind.
