Iphone 6 no longer plays music
Reporting back. No issue with iPhone 6+ and my 2010 Jaguar XKR. Worked perfectly with no monkey business (other than the adapter to the new lightning interface). It has worked through all iOS updates so far.
Can you tell me where you bought your 30 pin adaptor from. I'm also trying to connect an iPhone 6 + and to my 2011 xkr. Thank you
Get the one at the apple store or from a Best Buy type store. Don't get the cheap one but the more expensive one.
I have a blackberry through work and had it running through my XK. At work they said that I should switch to an iPhone 6 and I told them I'd think about it. I was at my local dealer and she said that the iPhone 6 isn't compatible with the XJ system so I told them at work that I'd stick with the blackberry. A couple months ago, a OS update came through the blackberry, I installed it and could no longer connect with the car. At the dealership, while there for something on the XK, I told her about the connection problem with the XJ and she looked it up and said "Oh, that version of the OS isn't compatible". I guess I can switch to the iPhone 6 now.
I did try to connect the blackberry with the bluetooth on the XK. No cigar. Doesn't really bother me much, in both cars I mostly listen to books and college courses on CD so it's really not a big deal and would rather not be on the phone unless really necessary (and can use headphones).
I had to drive a long way recently for a work trip and rented a car. I rented a Toyota Corrolla. It took about 5 minutes to bluetooth connect both the blackberry and my iPad and all worked flawlessly for the week. Next I rented a Ford Fusion, same thing...flawless connection and ability to run phone, music, and even streaming (audio) college courses.
I didn't buy the jags for their electronics, but it sure would be nice if the jags systems were as flexible and functional as economy cars.

I have a jaguar Xk 2010. Any tips how I can stream bluetooth audio from my iphone 7 to the car?
Tried the tune 2 air bluetooth adapter on the old ipod plug under the armrest. Strangely my touchscreen started to restart non-stop. Maybe because the phone was connected via the carkit AND the bluetooth adapter. any tips?
