I tried to register on the UK forum as there is someone on their XK section posting about a similar issue I'm having. I don't seem to be receiving the activation email after I registered; can anyone offer some suggestions (checked the junk mail) Maybe it's my US based email address and if so what's the work around?

I'm on the UK forum too. I had no problem registering - very unlikely to be your location at issue. More likely your spam filter.

 

Yes, but you're in the UK (unless there is a Rossendale in the USA. Come to think of it, there probably is). The OP is in Florida.

 

Ok, I'll re-phrase.

I'm an IT consultant - it is very unlikely to be your location. My email server is a .com address (as opposed to .co.uk) and the registration email arrived just fine. If the server location were an issue - then users with GMail and yahoo.com addresses would also suffer.

 

I'm registered on the UK forum also with no problems.
I guess you checked your junk mail for the activation message?

 

Thanks all, as mentioned checked my spam folder and nothing. I emailed the admin, hoping he'll respond soon. Glad to hear US based email address is ok.

I've just checked the member list (active and inactive are shown) and there is no RJC.
Once you have registered you'll have to wait for approval by me or Buck before your first two posts can be viewed by others.
If you continue to have problems PM me via this forum.

I can also search by email address if I had it.
