My 2012 was mfg in 2011 and my 2013 was delivered to me before 11/2012.... How do they decide what XK's are or are not recalled!??

Your VIN has to run sequentially between the vin numbers i listed.

If you are unable to do so, then you can call John Kobylarz, Manager of Jag/Land Rover Safety Compliance N.A. at 201-818-8500.

Dealers dont have the full list of the recall cars yet

If you want to pm me your vins, I can find the solutioin for you

There were only 26 cars of xk style that were recalled

Including xjr xfr-s and xk the total is 297 cars

Dont waste your time calling the dealer.

NHTSB has the numbers, VIN numbers, but that is a waste of time also

Was there a defective part from a "batch" used and ours had the good batch? my cars were in my hands before the 11/2012 mfg date so I assume I am ok. Least i know the MY2012 car is. the XKRS should be as well.

It had to be a bad batch as my car was manufactured in July of 2012 and delivered to me a year later.. So I have a pretty early 2013 model

The recall is for the 2013-2014 XF and XJ as well, just an FYI. Some of the members may have XK and another Jaguar model.
