This is my first JAg (07 XKR) and have noticed one irritation. Before I replace the batteries in the key fobs, I've noticed that they have a short range for locking/unlocking...maybe 15 feet max (direct line of site). This is really short by comparison to every other car I have owned.

Is this normal? How far away can you stand with your vehicle?

It's extremely short distance for me, too. Even with fresh batteries. I suppose I wouldn't want it to have super long range because then it might detect the key when it's parked and the electronics would never go to sleep!
