Default Just installed footrest (deadpedal )from Spain

This is a S/S footrest not Aluminium with the R badge and rubber inserts included ,The pedal is thick enough that the badge is below the surface ,and all for only 58 eur. The quality of work is superb.
This co make pedals for all models of Jaguar starting at 39 eur. Will make to your design .Highly Recommended.

I installed it with Velcro complements of Richard ( richzac ) Thanks Richard , and s/s screws provided .

I will post more info when I figer out how to get it from my email to here. Bernie

Outstanding! Much nicer and less expensive than the aluminum one I have. Also installs with 3 screws instead of 2. Look like an OEM item with the embedded full color "R" emblem. My only concern is how the logo will hold up after being repeatedly stepped on. If it is the OEM emblem can you easily remove and replace it? Nice find!

I dont think the emblem will be a problem as it is lower than the surface of the top plate. to install another emblem you just have to take the three screws out, take off the top plate and the emblem sits in a pocket, easy done . The pedal is made up of 4 S/S plates bottom one apears to be powder coated black, and then glued and sandwiched together. As I say a very precision piece of work. They make another one with a S/S R cut into the top plate for only 39 Eur.

I still can't figer how to transfer my other info and attachments from my email to this post , perhaps someone can advise , Im using a Macbook Air. Bernie

email for this product. jsancy@hotmail.com .

Bernie:

The deadpedal looks GREAT. I really like the R badge imbedded into the plate. This pedal is also very nice since it is Stainless Steel rather than aluminum.
Nice installation.

See the Advert in PRIVATE For Sale / Trade or Buy Classifieds forum:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/p...r-xf-s-112545/

Only the Mod Team can edit thread titles so roccomx5 has added "Also exist for X-type (simple dessing) and now for series XK in R dessing (with or without emblem)" in the body of his advert.

Picked one up from roccomx5 on eBay today for my 2010 XKR. Best looking dead pedal I've seen yet, on a screen. Will report back when I get it in my hands...

Here you go, Bernie:
  • Click the "Go Advanced" button below the Quick Reply box (gives you lots more editing functions). You get this anyway when when you quote a post.
  • In the Advanced interface, click the paperclip icon to open the Manage Attachments window
  • In the Manage Attachments window, click the Choose File button & select the image file
  • Click the Upload button - the window will show the filename when the upload is complete
  • Repeat the last 2 steps for each image; when you're done, close the Manage Attachments window
  • Write your message in the Advanced text box
  • Whenever you want to insert one of your images into the text box, click the small downwards triangle next to the paperclip icon
  • You will see a list of the image files you uploaded - click the one you want to insert

As Bernie (sherbercars) mentioned above, this dead pedal is manufactured in Spain by Forum member Roccomx5. Send him a PM. Hopefully, you'll get a reply. Let us know.

It's possible that Jaguar threatened to take legal action against him for copyright infringement for unauthorized use of the R logo, and he stopped production. If that is the case, perhaps he can supply you with all of the components except for the R badge so that you can acquire that badge and assemble it yourself.

Stuart - I just ordered the footrest cover for Ultimate Pedals. thanks for all of the groundwork you did. By the way the price delivered was $143 and shipping time 10-14 working days.

I couldn't help laughing when I read your question. That's what happens when you've been overloaded with news about Donald Trump groping women and can't help thinking like a dirty old man.

The footrest screws into the carpet. Alternatively, you can use industrial strength Velcro to hold the footrest to the carpet.

Screwing into metal behind is not advisable unless you're into kinky.

Looks great, but there is no way I would rely on Velcro. We don't want to read about unintended acceleration or brake pedal that got jammed
