As a fyi, I installed the foot rest on my car utilizing velcro, did not want to drill holes. Its been two years and has not moved one bit. Obviously, just the footrest was installed in this fashion.

I believe I was the first to use the 4" wide Industrial Velcro for the dead pedal and was the forum member who originally suggested this method to adhere the dead pedal to the carpet.

The dead pedal will not move when using this specific Velcro. The width fits perfectly and if it exceeds the sides of the dead pedal the Velcro can be trimmed.

I have had my dead pedal installed this way for 2 years and it never moves. There is no drilling into the carpet bulkhead and no worries about screwing into wires or whatever things may be under that area of the dead pedal that you can not see.

In order to fill the holes where the screws would go, I simply bought 1/4" long polished screw head screws and simply used a small amount of adhesive to secure them into the holes. The dead pedal looks like it is screwed into the floorboard.

Read this thread from the beginning for the email address of the manufacturer. Note that this thread is over 6 years old, and that manufacturer may no longer be in business.

Slightly off-topic, but has anyone bought the 2-piece or 3-piece pedal set for the XK or XKR from Mina Gallery? I understand Mina Gallery to have an excellent reputation for quality products. They don't replace the metal pedals but do replace the rubber pedal covers. A little pricey but I am thinking worth it. Would love to know if anyone has these and what they think of them.

TIA.

Bill I have the two piece set, not installed, that came with my car. I'll dig them out of the box. What would you like to know?

I was hoping to get a view from someone using them whether they are worth the money. Are you planning to install them? Out of the box, what are your first thoughts?

Thanks.

I have seen a Pinterest picture of all 3 pedal with the green/red XKR emblem but didn't say where it was purchased.
Can you post a reply of where I can purchase at least the dead pedal, or if you know of where purchase all 3 XKR.

Thank you ~ Leticia

Default XKR pedals

I'm new to this site, so forgive if I sent 2 emails regarding the gorgeous XKR pedal. I have a recent purchase of 2007 XKR. If you please, may I have the site where in Spain these were purchased ? These would be an added acutrement, like jewelry in my Jag.

Thank you,
Leticia
