Hi,

I've had a Milltek exhaust on my last car (Golf R32) which I've loved, so today ordered one for the XKR (2007 4.2)

There seem to be lots of videos on You Tube of 5.0 Millteks, but not very many examples of 4.2's.

Has anybody with a Milltek on a 4.2 got any video to show the sound? I have to wait 3 weeks before delivery so itching to hear it.

I am sure that you have seen this... if you havent then here you go...

 

nice car hope yur exhauts has that spiecial sound. My 2007 xkr came with an upgrade exhaust, looked at pictures on web and it looks like a milltek back box, ( if you look at my thread on has anyone seen an exhaust like this) it maybe what u ordered. I rang milltek to day to describe the rear box and asked them that it seems to have lost its real rip noise, still good but not as before, they didn't know any answer, car going fine no issues just sound has a different tone.

 

Thanks for the comments. I have a few tasteful mods planned for it such as orange headlight reflector delete, new style LRD rear lights, XKR 5.0 lower rear diffuser / splitter plus smaller supercharger pulley and remap.

I live in the UK, and each year a group of friends and I go to the Nurburgring (Germany) and take a week or two to drive around Europe and the alps, so I want to it be at it's best for our trip in August this year.

Powerhouse - Thanks, I had read your thread but other suggested it might not be a Milltek. Have you got any video / sound clips of it?

 

Yes that video was same sound mine, of anything a bit louder in reality, my deep rumble has got a bit quieter?

I've had my milltek for about 5 years now. At first I thought it was too loud but then after a year of getting use to it I wanted it louder.

Here's mine (with hiflo cats ).
