Default Just put on the winters.

Funny how the rears wear so much faster than the fronts.
Incidentally, I previously communicated that my winters were on 18’s.. I was wrong. They are 19’s.

Cheers

The SNOW MODE in these cars works actually quite well.

Maybe. I like my 4.2 for a number of reasons and I have never missed it.

Absolutely. The driving management software on cars might be very good... even better than me (though I doubt it ;-) but, it combats the way I learned and continue to drive.
Therefore I always turn traction control completely off.

I've taken many a corner is the worst of weather, sideways, as I entered the corner too quickly (for some). I needed the power on, not reduced to make the corner.

Incidentally THIS is the snow tire thread ;-). I do have Blizzaks on the LR for the winter. The summers are Pirelli Scorpion A/T's (which are terrible on ice, I might add).

As we all know, the XKR handles exceptionally well in good and poor conditions... provided you have the right rubber for the conditions.
