A 4th is to call a locksmith that does auto fob replacements and programming. That's what I did, Cost was about $270.

 

my 2007 XK only had one fob which worked when installed in the console. Went to the Jaguar/Land Rover dealer in Alpharetta, GA USA and ordered two new fobs ($765) and was scheduled to have them programmed but the service manager said they might “blow some modules” while programming and would only do it if I signed a form saying they would not be liable. Immediately got my money back for the fobs.
went to Hennessy Jaguar/Land Rover in Atlanta, GA and they were awesome! Same price for fobs + $335 for programming (much more than I could afford, but what else do you do). Everything was done in an hour, they detailed my car, and had me on my way. Very expensive but the peace of mind is worth it to me. Best of luck.

I didn’t have the money to spend trying to find cheaper alternatives just to find they didn’t work for my car. The dealer I used fixed my original fob, so now I have 3.
However, I did put an Apple tag on the fob I use daily! It will probably pay off soon.

 

can you direct me to proper contact for my 2007 xkr key fob. I have two and one works fine the other does not but i have proper key.. I changed battery and not functioning and battery is good because I used it with fob that works. I think my 2nd keys have some circuit problem? I am in Toronto Canada area .
