Yeah, there is supposed to be another bracket around the right-rear part of the intercooler that holds the funny module. I'm 99.4% sure I won't find one near me, or probably not on any breaker site.

Looking at your plug with different color wires, someone some place replaced the connector on this one with who-knows-what. The tab & lock are totally different. Once it has power I can check polarity and make sure it does whatever it should do.
Thanks for the pics, it solved a mystery.

I get that occasionally - seems to have backed off lately. Not sure what causes it in my case. Maybe it's a getting old thing. Seems to happen right after vivid dreams. I wake up, throw the bedding off, cool down and then
back to sleep.

Yay. No, I really don't think I missed anything. At least nothing that I installed...

At least it's coming down the front under tray. Much better than the rear of the engine!

Here's hoping it's a small issue.

Puddle at the rear looks like.

Puddles rear AND front, both sides. I've just completed the intake tube disassembly, but since I had a Lithotripsy this morning, I don't really want to push it today. I haven't seen anything that isn't connected though.
I checked the valley hoses while everything was apart, and those were fine. Is it only the 5.0s with plastic valley lines? These ones are soft and supple rubber hoses.

I ordered my Two-Post car lift yesterday! I get to pick it up at Home Depot in about ten days, but then I will immediately go on a vacation (GADZ I need that) so in a few weeks I can install it and really dig into the rest of this debacle. And since MY XKR also has a Cat Below Threshold CEL, I can do that also. Caused by a stuck-open GDI injector a few years ago. Cat-a-Kleen worked a few times. No longer.

This has been the shortest summer I've ever seen in Utah. Spring was late and lasted forever as it didn't get warm until late May. Now in late August, some of the leaves are already starting to turn and nights are in the low 60s (16C). Ugh. I detest cold.

I still have my two Mustangs in my other shop to work on! Those have already waited a decade or more for help. Nothing seems to end, except my health. Ugh again.

Huh. I’ll take your 60’s. Supposed to be 101 in the next hour, with a heat index of 110 here in the Chicago burbs. Can’t do anything outside without roasting your ****.

I'll take your hundreds over these 60s all day every day. Of course it's only 60 at night when I'm in my comfy bed and 90 still during the day. So THAT part is okay.
The hottest I've been in was during Gulf War 1 where it was 134f (57C) during the day but it cooled down to 130f at night. 100% humidity every day and night because right against the Persian Gulf. While I didn't mind it, everyone around me was gasping and complaining the whole time. Course when it's below 50f I rant and rave my own self.

Years ago, driving a converted bus to camper to Kathmandu it was around 47 C in Pakistan, when I drove into New Delhi I spent three days shaking in an air conditioned hotel room with heat exhaustion - not drinking enough water and being from a cool climate in the UK did me in pretty good.

I'm an idiot. AGAIN.
I had the waterfall underneath because I totally disregarded the small coolant hose beneath the supercharger snout which attaches to the coolant manifold.
It was a total bugger to fit also, since half below the snout. I got it done though, and now No Zero-Pressure Leaks! Everything back together AGAIN, so now I can try to fill the water/coolant again.
My lift is still eight days out or more, but getting closer!

Haha! I mentioned that detail when we were trading pics and tips. It's a real bugger if you try installing it after the fact (as you can now attest!).

Yeah, yeah, I figured that out later as I assumed I'd already found what you said to me. The "pull back" part. That's still on my brain.

In summary, your boys engine is running smoothly.., without the prescribed swap ??
And the shop’s prognosis was utter crap??

We all knew it. And a lesson learned by your son.

Well done @Cee Jay !

Now tell him this doesn’t come back without his registration with JaguarForums.
