Default Knock in front wheel

Thought I would post before I bring her to the mechanic. When I drive over small / sharp bumps, I hear a knock or little bang coming from the right front wheel. Any idea what it could be? I want to be prepared and informed. A visual check shows nothing loose or out of the ordinary. Hoping for an inexpensive fix.

Lower ball joint, or top or bottom of the strut shock, and lastly the stabilizer link.

Most likely to be the track rod ball joint (tie bar in the USA, I believe) but, as above, could be any of the steering or suspension pivot points.

Stabilizer links are fairly feeble, and cheap to buy and replace. If nothing appears to be loose, I would try them first, even if they don't appear to have play.

Take the wheel off and do a visual inspection. I was getting a knock over bumps, and I found the shock was leaking (telltale streaks down the lower part of the shock). Replaced, and the knocks were solved.
