They dropped the entire drive train 4 inches to lower the center of gravity.

The tubes are remote shock reservoirs.

Beat me to it...used for multi-way adjustable coil-overs, if you look closely they are not attached to the intakes.

Hmm interesting .. I wonder what they did with the stock oil baffle PCV system.

My guess on the arrow is the drive for a dry sump oil pump.

Yes, dry sump and no PCV.

Read this old tread from 2012.

There's a reason you won't find an aftermarket CAI for our XKRs. The factory design is as good as it gets for street performance. Forum member jahummer can tell you about his race car's setup.
Looking at the OEM design it looks like it was designed to reduce harmonics more than anything. I imagine no one developed an aftermarket offering because the packaging makes it too much of a pain. Shame the XFR set up doesn’t fit.

Yes, that's what all the resonator tubes are for. It's not too difficult to fit custom or aftermarket tubes as I've done and measure airflow.

Has anyone tried the Eventuri set up?
https://www.eventuri.net/products/jaguar-f-type/

It’s the only aftermarket offering that I can see.

I doubt that you'll get a reply here, in the XK/XKR X150 Forum, since it appears from Eventuri's website that the only Jaguar intake they offer is for the F-Type.

Well with the engine packaging being similar between the XK and F Type if anyone has tried it.
Any forced induction motor can find gains by getting more airflow. It doesn’t even necessarily be cold because any form of air compression creates a ton of heat.
Plus getting rid of the resonance tube might unleash that supercharger whine.

The The setup that I have retrofitted on my car uses venturi type of intake as the, inside where it sits on the cone is tapered so I'm already using it on the x150 But I don't think venturi effect would add that much in power anyways It's more about the volume that can go through without restriction.

Has anyone ever cut out the resonator pipes on the stock intake tubes and patched up the holes? Might be my next mod....

I suspect it's for sound only, I have cut one out so far

Yes, they are Helmholtz resonators. Easier to just fit new aluminum pipes or equivalent than trying to patch with something that won't get sucked into the throttle body, charger rotors, engine, etc.
