I think you need to be patient waiting for replies, remember this is a Worldwide forum with members in different times zones + many will be at work earning cash to own these beautiful cars!

What are you hoping to gain from a CAI? I don't think anyone is making one. Most go for the pulley upgrade and ECU re-map on the XKR. There's high performance cat's available too.

In a car like this, the intake/airbox is most likely already designed for maximum efficiency. You won't see many cold air intakes for this.

Look at the MinaGallery website. They do offer cold air intakes for Jags, however, not sure if there is one for your XKR. Chris with Mina will be able to help you with this subject.

The XKR uses dual MAF sensors which are very sensitive to flow inbalance. The factory intake isn't drawing hot engine bay air anyways so likely not much more power to be gained than from an air freshener hanging from the mirror Sometimes it's best to leave things alone...and this is probably one of them.

Secondarily, CAI usually benefit NA engines more than FI engines. For FI engines, you have to bump to an intercooler if it doesn't already have one. <thinks> I know my Cummins has an intercooler, but I don't even know if the XKRs do... /facepalm

I'm a twin winner then! <chuckles> Where the hell did they stuff twin air to air intercoolers in there? That's crazy talk.

It's a pair of air to water intercoolers nestled in the V of the engine apparently. You're right ready to put her on the track!

Why don't you measure intake air temperature? I think you will find that Jaguar has done a pretty good job at reducing difference between ambient and intake air temperature. This can easily be measured with a plug-in ScanGauge.

If you want to reduce air temperature at the intake ports, then the best way is to try to fit larger intercooler radiators. This may not be possible, and, at best, would be a custom job.
