sorry didnt know where to post this, hopefully mods ove to correct location.

to get to it, i am looking to buy the left side mirror housing for a 2008 jaguar XKR. the actual casing and the mirror are in mint condition, the mechanic that looked at it said that the motor is jammed or something is wrong with it (mirror doesnt fold it like the passenger side mirror does) and that i need a new housing. then went on to quote me for an OUTRAGEOUS price.

if someone is selling one or can point me in the direction to get a new one with paying near 1000$ i would be highly appreciative

You should post this in the forum for the X150 style XK/XKRs. This is for the X100 style that they stopped making in 2006.

I've moved this from XK8/XKR to XK/XKR section as you're asking about a 2008.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

The first thing you need to do is determine if there is a difference between mirrors on the XK and XKR. Then contact our member "SeamlessAutomotive". I think he is parting out 1 of each in MY 07 and may have a mirror that works for you.

He is not totally "nuts" like some of the other Calif dismantlers.

 

I have a left side mirror but it's not the power folding type.
