Brake fluid - flush every two years regardless of mileage. Flush is due on your vehicle.

Coolant - Jaguar uses OAT coolant (Orange color aka Dexcool here in the U.S) and OAT lifecycle for automotive use is 5 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, however the manual says every 4 years or 60,000 for the XK. Either way - flush is due on your vehicle.

Transmission - ZF transmissions were originally intended to be sealed for life but now ZF recommends the following ( you won't find this in your manual):
ZF automatic transmissions are filled with specially developed semi-synthetic oils.
At very high operating temperatures, the oil ages faster than under normal conditions. Examples:
 Many trips at high speeds.
 Many trips with a trailer in tow.
 Sporty driving.
Depending on the driving style, ZF therefore recommends a transmission oil change every 80 000 to 120 000 km, or after 8 years at the latest. 80 000 km is 49,709 miles.

I have 102K on my 2007 and have not had the ZF transmission service performed because my dealer said the same thing "sealed for life". I would like to keep the vehicle for the long haul so i want to have it done by a competent experienced service provider. Has anyone here had this done?

Elindo,

I bought my 2008 last year with 24,000 miles, great car but no service records at all. At 30,000 I had a Jag indie change ALL fluids & filters so I would have a starting point going forward. Doing the trans fluid and filter is really no big deal, somewhat expensive, but otherwise easily done.

Given your current millage I would do it soon.

Any good transmission shop can change the fluid (and the filter/pan) on the ZF (the mechatronic sleeve should be done at the same time). I had this done in my XJ8 (x350) with no problem at all. My XK has only 57,000 kms on it but I have the new pan/filter and mechatronic sleeve ready for when I take it in.

Any decent mechanic can do it, no need for a shop that specializes in transmissions the job is not hard at all
