Default May buy a XKR

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-Jaguar...NZurbK&vxp=mtr Looked and drove this car yesterday...Your thoughts please...The good...Interior excellent...some wear on drivers bolster...No paint work...Runs and drives good...Rims have been refinished...The bad...The front and rear fascia not damaged but need paint...Rear tires at 60%...Hood has some staining from bird crap in 6 spots...5 dings that could be repaired by PDR...Large crack in windshield on passenger side...I did notice a weird rattle on initial startup kinda' like a heat shield loose. All input appreciated!

Have you looked at others? Here's one from Cars.com. Similar miles, looks to be in better shape and a year newer:

Also, no matter what you do, get a pre purchase inspection and one that includes inspection by a Jaguar authorized body shop. CarFax is not all that reliable.

It was relisted here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-Jaguar...p2047675.l2557

...but then it was "Ended" on Oct 19 @ 12:45 with no further info provided.
So.... DID you buy it? Maybe the seller got interest from eBay then removed it to avoid the fees.

No I did not buy it yet...I found it on Craiglist originally...He will take 14K for it...I am paying cash and 14K is about all I can do...The other XKR on cars.com looks good but 1 or 2K out of my range at this time...Its a little weird it sold twice on ebay but he still has it...Nowhere does it say it has a badly cracked windshield in either add...Checked the Carfax and it does jive he owns and registered it...

Well something's not right, for me anyway. NADA Book is $15400 for average condition but your description is below average.
Based on your initial comments, you're probably looking at a couple grand in body work including the windshield, assuming the WS isn't heated. Sounds like the bodywork would bring it up to merely average and you'd be over NADA value in cost.

If it's me, I'll add to my savings and wait for a cleaner car. My two cents.

So Viper are you selling your X350 too or are you going to stay on the dark side?

I personally, would not want to push to what I could afford to buy when it comes to a used car without a warranty.

No matter how much I trust these cars(and the forum is loaded with lots of happy trouble free owners), you could be the odd one out.

You really should wait until you have a pad for the unexpected.

The prices on these are really going down, for now anyway. Time is in your favor.

I was quoted $900+ for non heated glass for mine...

My rebuild thread is pretty relevant on some stuff that fails.
