Mina Gallery front grill options

I bought my grille from Mina. I bought some Adamesh grills for one of my XFs and that was a good experience. Adamesh do XK parts.
Bear in mind that if you replace the OEM plastic grille with a wire one you can see the paint inside the nose cone. That might not be an issue for the indigo blue, but looked silly with my silver XKR, so I had to wrap it inside.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. It looks like the Mina one is pretty simple enough. Pull the old emblem off the existing grill and then lay the new one over it and place then new Mina supplied emblem over. Hopefully not too much showing from behind..
I was also thinking of just taking off the existing winged emblem on my 07 and see if I could replace just the emblem ( leave the existing black grille ) with a new emblem - minus the wings. Anyone know if that's possible or if can purchase just a replacement - maybe an '08 emblem and simply swap that in place of the winged 07 ? same size or not ?

For the '10 model at least Mina stopped selling the grille that you attach to the existing in favour of one where you remove the old grille and replace it. From memory there were issues where people could see the old grille inside the new. That might not be an issue where your existing grille is black (or if it is silver you might be able to spray it with that black rubber stuff first).
Fully replacing the grille is a bit of a production - while Mina say that you can do it without taking the nose cone off, I wasnt able to and ended up having it done by panel beaters.
The Mina grille comes with a nice growler emblem, you can have it red or black.

No it's not the mina grill it's the standard xk grill with the wing emblem removed and a black grower badge purchased from eBay.

The wing emblem is held onto the grille with 8mm bolts that protrude through the rear side of the grille, the original growler is part of the winged assembly .
The trick is to loosen one side of the front bumper in order to get your hand behind the grille to remove the 8mm bolts there should a total of 4.
Torx bits will also be needed to remove the inner guard lining

The other option for those who aren't entirely confident with removing one half of the bumper is to try and go through the top.
If trying to go through the top make surely you wear a long sleeve t shirt to minimize any cuts/grazes on the forearm.
In order to go through the top the radiator shroud will be needed to be removed, also the 10mm bolts and clips holding the front bumper

For my 07XK, I just bought the OEM wire grill, as it was an optional accessory.
Loved it, and when I got my 2010 Jag had no equivalent, so I bought the Mina Wire version.
Total pain in the **** to install per instructions (Scuffed a lot of paint trying), so I finally went to the local hardware store and created mounting brackets of my own.

now you got me thinkin... Maybe I should keep my existing black grill and instead try reaching in and removing the existing 07 front growler emblem ( with the wings splitter ) and replace it with a newer growler ( minus the splitter wings ). Is there a direct swap growler or something that fits in its place ? I see a 70mm for the newer models on eBay that might work , just need to see how it attaches and if it covers any exiting holes after removing the existing one.
As the new badge has locator pins in a different location, the only modification that will need to take place is to simply pierce new (locator) holes into the existing backing where the old badge was .
This can easy be done with a small phillips head screwdriver

It isn't just the red that makes it pop.
Compare the old black version to the new black version.
