Default Missing Water pump bolt or screw?

Hey all,
I had put the water pump repair on back burner till after holidays as the car is garaged for winter. I have all parts for the coolant system that need to be changed now.. I also purchased a telescopic LED mirror to be able to look at the engine if needed.. As per the diagnostics back on the 21st. Of October I was told by the tech and service advisor that it was the WP as I had anticipated and did mention it prior to diagnosis.. Never say what you think it may be, I'm learning.. As I was looking at the WP I noticed a threaded hole empty and wondering is that intentional or is it for possibly a clip to be added or something of that nature?.. Because I think they thought I was going to have the car left and the work completed, took it home as I wanted to purchase my own parts. Charged me 170.00 for the diagnostics. Is anyone familiar enough by looking to have an idea of what I'm looking at? I have a spinal disease so I can't bend a lot hence the mirror..
The picture is taken of the area around the water pump reflection... Hope it's not too vague?
Thank You!!..

The thread doesn't appear to have ever had anything screwed into it so I suspect that it is superfluous.

Good luck with your maintenance. I just finished a full fluid change on my 2014 XKR. I'm doing a complete service on my 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider next.

Doesn't Fluffari void your legitimate existence if you do ANYTHING to 'their' cars?

No one will ever take the care and interest in working on my cars as much as I do. I take ownership-responsibility in caring for my cars. To find a dealership technician who values your car and takes pride in their work today is next to impossible. Poor workmanship has been normalized these days. My Jaguar dealership bent the SC actuator on my XKR resulting in the SC needing to be replaced and scratched the fender. I had pictures showing the SC on their shop bench with no damage which they could not deny. Although, they returned the car to me hoping I would not notice. My XKR is like new today and my Ferrari will be maintained the same by the only person who takes ownership of working on my cars, me.

Aweosme,
which is faster? lol!!!... Isn't the 488 the same Ferrari that Matt Armstrong on his YouTube channel rebuilt and gifted his father with?... That was an awesome rebuild and amazing what he has done and the viewers he now has!!!.. A friend of mine had an ENZO yes 1-400... Sold at Christie's.. Lawrence Stroll also has one of the largest North American Ferarri Collections but never owned the ENZO and why he didn't purchase from TH is beyond me?.. He has a lot tied up in Aston with his son and Alonso driving..
Im now looking at a 1-50 coupe's, with plaque!!!.. XKR 2015..

I would have to agree about the love that is given... I do have a tech who takes pride in his work and appreciates when a customer drives something other than something that is practical!!! I've never been practical and at this age doesn't look like that will change!.. I would rather go without than to have what I prefer and want.. Sounds a bit cocky but I just love craftsmanship.. Ian put a lot of love into the XK and I believe it was the XK not the DB9 which was his OPUS!!

I use the propane when it is very cold. The garage is heated, but it still can get cold depending on the wind and temperature. The propane does give off an unpleasant smell so I use it sparsely. Winter suck now that I don't ski anymore. I have geothermal heating in my house, but the garage is a different animal.

LOL, I’m addicted to all the S words:
Sail, ski, scotch, sex, scrabble, sports cars, stogies. I agree, if you don’t ski, winter sux.

That is a pretty accurate reflection of what I feel in the UK also regarding car repairs, they will never admit liability if they **** up and **** up they will - they won’t focus on a job taken care of with quality and precision and just want to quickly get it out the door, it’s not as easy as people make out
Take the work on the Jag, it’s a nightmare for a garage or a dealer - all them bolts would drive you insane, there is a good chance they will be lost somewhere, cross threaded or sheared off.

That Ferrari is ridiculous

Speaking of car repairs, I have a huge box of parts for a full on valley repair job and have been thinking of getting some chap on facebook i have got aquainted with to do this job - why? becasue he probably is more trusty than a garage, he has done work on his on Jags and will spend time and dedication to the cause and knows exactly what to do.

omg!!.. I'm right there with you on the skiing!!.. Sold my Head skis a few weeks ago along with everything else to a senior in HS to help him out.. Never used any of the equipment as I was diagnosed with a severe spinal disease.. Legs go numb.. Getting old Sucks!!!
and yes the heater Mr. Heater from Amazon is an awesome heater aside from the headache's... I crack the left garage door to exhaust some of the fumes.. As well as let fresh air into the garage which kind of defeats the purpose.. I was thinking about one of the reflective heaters on a tripod but they use a ton of electricity.. My NOCO battery tender Genius 5 has spiked the electric bill an extra 20 a month.

The lift is a quick jack. You can get them at Costco online. It's portable and easy to move around. This lift is extremely handy; for my garage I should have went with a 4 post or 2 post lift. My garage is 1,700 sq ft. I never new 10 years ago I would have owned so many performance cars. I'm with you on not letting anyone wash your car. I do my own detailing and don't want some wash boy putting swirls all over my car after spending many hours detailing. My black XKR shines like a mirror with no swirls or orange peel paint, better than factory finish.

+1 on the QuickJack, no room for a 4 or 2 post lift in my smallish 2-car garage. Works great for the oil changes and semi-annual tire/wheel swaps on our 3 cars.
