Hey! That's the same oil I put in my XKR about two weeks ago!

Naw. The best oil is what's best. Don't matter if it is "Jag Approved", as that just means a company paid Jag to get spec'd.

 

Has any one tried this type of oil for the there XJ R? I know its good for the MB and Audi's.

 

I received my $24 rebate check today after submitting a Walmart receipt for the purchase of two Mobil 1 5 qt containers, thanks for confirming this can be done!!

 

I've done this Mobil 1 rebate (and variants of it) for maybe a dozen times. Every time they have accepted a Walmart receipt.

I have 3 Jaguars that use 8ish quarts each. So 5 jugs does 1 oil change for each. I also use Castrol Magnatec synthetic when I'm out of Mobil 1; which is regularly 15-18$ on amazon delivered with no rebate. I also will sometimes use Pennzoil Platinum Ultra as that has rebates bringing them to $2-3 a quart on occasion. These oils are all good enough, and with my cars, they live in a mild climate when they are driven (warm out but not blazing), they have moderate duty cycles and I often change at 3-4k; which is more time than mileage.
