They say Steve McQueen Jag XKSS is worth 25 million. Only 16 made.
Look at Jay Leno's garage, he does a show on it.

Watched the complete video. In its day the XKSS must have been like a C-X75. Nothing like it. Here's the link:

Looks like Eastwood and Landon could barely afford their Jags, took the shirts right off their backs, while McQueen, that cool dude, still has his jacket and sun glasses!

As I looked at the Jay Leno garage youtube site I noticed that I used to own a diamond in the rough car in my youth. Little did I know then that there were only 1700 of those cars out of 2600 that were imported to the US. It was great and a lot of fun to drive and pretty fast. It was also a little ugly but I loved the sound of the engine and exhaust. Take a look at his restore and test drive. Just another great English sports car. Daimler SP250

They had an XKSS on the Timeline at the JEC's 30th anniversary event last year - the owner drove it there & back himself, despite the £8M or so price tag, no messing about with trailers or car transporters. That's a proper enthusiast.

Since we're discussing the XKSS, I thought I'd mention that one is on display at Clyde's Restaurant in Chevy Chase, Maryland. For details, see this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...5/#post1218963

It's a shame to see such a rare car turned into an exhibit, though. I wonder if it even runs - the engine is probably seized solid.

The lines of this XKSS are so unique to Jaguar and this has to be the most beautiful one ever built.
