Default Music on flash drive works intermittently

Originally even my iphone6 gave me problems (I have the proper factory chord and all the updates) getting my music collection to my car. I placed my collection on a flash drive and even now it will work well at times and at other times just won't come on. It will say "Docking" but never connects. I know this is probably just another one of the Jaguar's electrical gremlins, but if anyone has a fix, please tell. Any help would be appreciated.

PS. My battery is constantly on a CTEK 3300 maintainer and fully charged. Even my Bluetooth for the phone stinks as no one can hear me well. I have that disconnected too. Electrical issues seem to go hand in hand with Jaguar since the beginning of time. I except this as the car is gorgeous and performs great in all other areas.

Perhaps a reset of the input module would help - try pulling & replacing Fuse 24 (10A red) in the rear-seat fusebox.

This may sound ****, but did you defragment your flash drive after you added the songs? Also, if you copied directly from wherever onto your flash, then you may have thousands of "Album Art" .jpgs on the drive that do no good and should be removed.
I've got a 64GB flash with just over 8,000 songs, and they all play perfectly well. All the time. No extraneous files and always defragged.

Thanks, I've done that already.

Yes, I used a specific program (don't remember name) and the extraneous stuff was eliminated.

Weird. Maybe you got a hold of a not-so-great drive? Me, I'd try putting everything on a different flash and see if that worked. They are cheap nowadays, so worth trying.
