Default Natually aspirated 5 litre motor has more tech then the supercharged motor?

So I was reading the 2010 model year brochure that contains tech info. It says that the NA motor has VCT (variable camshaft timing, VIM (variable inlet manifold) & CPS (camshaft profile switching). None of this was on the supercharged motor? Ok gearheads...anyone know why they did this?

Yeah, because the NON-VVT supercharged engine already made more than enough power and are quite efficient. The non-supercharged engines needed some help, so stuff was thrown at it to improve the power.

The supercharged engine does have VCT. Here is a pretty picture of it:

Unlike the NA cars the early supercharged V8's didn't have VVT but it was eventually introduced for the 2006MY on the saloons and with the X150's for the XKR's and they have had it ever since.
