Default Pinhole rust on door panel

So here is a what I think is a new FYI.

I noticed 3 blisters on my '07 XK drivers door the size of a pea and smaller.
After further inspection (IE I removed the blisters and scraped all underlying material away) I found pinholes had eaten through the door panel in what I believe to be from the inside! It seems to me that each pinhole originated from the inside of the panel from possible contamination trapped between the metal and the acoustic dampening material applied to its interior.

I'm not sounding an alarm yet, as I must admit the car was completely repainted in 2013 by a Jaguar approve paint shop, but I have become concerned when I discovered each pinhole had the dampening material factory applied behind it.

Note: Pinholes in aluminum is common in the boating community, but I have not heard of this on Jags yet.

Again, a minor FYI, unless others have more info to add.

Peace!

My 2014 Coupe had work done under warranty last year for a patch of bubbling on the RH front wing above the vent. This appeared within a VERY short period of time and rapidly worsened. Dealer agreed it was definitely not from external damage such as stonechip or impact.

It's 13 months since the repair and (so far) there's no sign of reappearance or similar bubbling elsewhere on the bodywork.

I went to see my vehicle in the bodyshop but unfortunately it was already primed when I arrived. I'd like to have seen the bare metal.

When I had the driver's door panel off to repair the door handle, I wasn't too impressed with the surface protection on the inside The horizontal edge of the reinforcement was bare metal and the remainder of the coating not very thick.

No problems with the paint on the doors on mine.

Mine is in for a similar spot of corrosion on the lower part of the rear quarter where the side skirt and bodywork meet - I'd imagine mine may have been caused by a stonechip though. It is however quite annoying!!
