Default Navigation Disc(s) Question interchange

I'm betting this has been touched on previously but I can't find it.

1) The XJ has a single Nav disc, 2012. The XK has 2. Would the XJ disc work in the XK?

2) This is just an academic question as I don't use the Nav system anyway but curious as to why Jaguar has a 2 disc system for the XK and possibly other models but a single disc suffices in the XJ.

I half expect to see at some point in the XJ version "Beyond here, there be Dragons"

I assume they're not interchangeable, but missing the aha or "duh" moment.

I haven't researched it much but I thought the 2 XK DVDs were the same (redundant)?? If they are different, what do you do, pull over and change the DVD when you get to Dragon territory??

I usually use the phone bu the car NAV is good in areas where phone data is limited... I have original DVDs from my 2010. I should probably look for an update.... so, following this thread....

Totally different navigation systems, the discs are not interchangeable between an X150 and X350

Canada and the midwest are on both disks so there is some overlap.
