Default Another Tool of NavTool

You most certainly have a lot of knowledge about installing the NavTool and have provided a lot of helpful information in this thread.

Because jagia has not replied to my questions, he leaves me no choice but to conclude that he is a NavTool shill, intentionally planted in this Forum as a stooge of NavTool to publicly help them sell more units without disclosing that relationship. That's why he has answers to questions about installation and says to be patient because his was backordered and was eventually delivered. But he never stated that he owns an X150 or posted a picture of his car. I think he hasn't posted in any other threads, which further supports my conclusion.

It is at least immoral, and quite possibly illegal, for a company to charge your credit card while their product is on backorder and before it is shipped to you.

I don't believe anything he says, except for the installation advice. BUYER BEWARE.

If I am wrong, my most humble and sincere apology to jagia.

Everyone is an FBI agent these days, I don't post here cause I have a life, and don't have time to post - I'm a guest reader. The only reason I joined is because I saw IANXF having issues and I just done my installation.

LOL! Actually ... I can neither confirm nor deny if I was ever an employee of the US Government.

But you, jagia, just confirmed my suspicions since you didn't deny my conclusion. Truth be known.

And your insinuation that I don't have a life is way off the mark. I've been having the time of my life ever since I retired. I highly recommend it. Sure beats the hell out of working and traffic!

I don't think you get it I'm not about to go back and read all your rants. You retired good for you. It's because of people like you others avoid being Good Samaritan and let others die chocking.

jagia,

You don't get it. This thread is not the proper place for you to promote NavTools' products. It's obvious that you're trying to do so through the back door. Do it the right way and become a Forum sponsor and post in the Vendor sections.

Forum members will now see you for who you really are.

Ian, Navtool has an F rating with the BBB. If you bought through PayPal, file a complaint and you'll get a refund. Same with 99% of all credit card companies. File the complaint with them and they will pursue the refund for you. In the meantime, if you're just looking for a rear view camera, use the GVIF video interface and avoid having to deal with Navtool.

As the unit doesn't record anything, there's no value in side cameras. If you're turning left, I presume you look where you're going and not at the screen, unless you have Marty Feldman eyes.

If you want Miracast, that can be solved through the GVIF interface as well.

No one should have to endure this kind of frustration.

Lastly, file a complaint with the New York Attorney General. Complaints to AG's are usually very quick and easy. You could also give Navtool customer service a heads up that you're pursuing these avenues and that may prompt a very fast refund.

I have no dog in this fight but this comment is pretty funny.

7 months, no replies from the vendor, finally a non working unit is received with no instructions and it takes DAYS for documentation to be EMAILED. A 10 minute exercise at best! How can IanXF be MORE patient than that????

Ian, do what Sean said. You are being taken advantage of.

The unit was returned to NAVTOOL via UPS waiting for them to receive it at this point I'm hoping that my issues will be resolved if not then Thank you for the advise I hope I will not will have to pursue that course of action I was an installer many years ago and have kept up on installation on various things for automotive enjoyment so no power to this unit is my concern and the download which should have been done by NAVTOOL since they know my year and model I will keep everyone posted as to my progress
Thanks again for all the support

I just noticed that jagia's last 2 or 3 posts attacking me were deleted and that post #66 says "banned" under jagia's screen name. I guess that an Administrator read his recent posts and determined that he violated the Forum rules.

The fussing is about waiting seven months to get a functioning unit and longer to get some truth out of the vendor. Let's see what happens if half a year from now you haven't received a functioning unit. This is no way to run a business.

Good luck, maybe you're a winner!
If so, go buy a lottery ticket!

hmm, joined forum today popped right out to the Navtool thread, announced purchase of Navtool last night, confirmed tracking number and shipping on route all in one day.

Please go out to the new members area and introduce yourself. It would be helpful to know where you're from. Have pics of you 08 posted in your albums?

Thank you
