Default Need Advice for New Wheels...

Had new tires installed and wheels balanced last November and was told the rims were "slightly bent." I'm not quite sure if that is a big issue or not...perhaps like being a little bit pregnant.

Getting the wheels striaghtened is going to be an expensive proposition. I'm thinking that installing new wheels would be a viable alternative. I have 20" Sentas, like the looks and would like to replace with the same.

What are your thoughts on aftermarket wheels? Advertised on this forum are the 20" Sentas for $695.00 ++. That's less than repairing my current wheels without even considering the cost of repairing the curb rash.

I fully understand that in many, not all, instances you do get what you pay for. I am not averse to paying for quality but certainly not enthralled with overpaying.

The only thing I know is to check the tire pressure weekly especially if there is a significant temperature change. I know absolutely nothing about wheels.

Any guidance would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Take a look at an earlier post https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...cutives-89505/ These are a set of very nice looking wheels.

Thanks. I followed that post and I don't even want to know what a set of custom made wheels cost.

I need one rear 20" Senta for my 2007 XK. Where did you see this wheel advertised for $699?

There's a sponsor ad that is constantly on the XK/XKR home page advertising 4 Senta 20" wheels for $695.00 ++. Just curious if anyone knows about these folks and the quality of the wheels.

Best,
