Default Need coolant o-ring

I need a coolant o-ring. I've searched every diagram I could find but when I get an actual image, it's wrong. Where the pipe comes up and attaches to the thermostat housing there's an o-ring. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The groove around the aluminum part is the retainer groove for the spring clip on the fitting. Is there a seal inside the hose in your hand below the coolant?

It's not 8, that is fitted with a flange. It attaches here. I can't find the lower hose that comes up in any diagram though.

Sorry, no help. I'm not familiar with the 4.2 XKR. From the parts catalog, here are all the hoses. I don't see an o-ring though. Others will have to chime in:

It looks like it's the top part of #5. I tried a regular oring and it seemed to work, but after a short drive i lost quite a bit of coolant. I have searched every part website I could find without any luck. I may just take it to the dealer and pay the insane price they are charging.

What website were you using?

@nasomi, you can check directly with one of the forum sponsors, such as S.N.G. Barratt (https://www.sngbarratt.com/us/#!/Eng.../51/all/1/10/1).

I remember that being a pain to disconnect. It look like it is part of the #5 hose above. In that case you would need to order the whole hose =/

SNG has it here:

Nasomi, I'm using the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) It's windows based and I keep it on an old Windows laptop. Great tool. You can download it here:

Sorry, doesn't work with Mac. Don't think there's a Mac option.

It's stupid if it's just for an o-ring, but i guess it is what it is. I did find the whole hose, but it didn't show the metal snap ring or o-ring, which i was concerned about. I'd be annoyed if i ordered the whole hose, then it didn't include the one part i needed.

Try ordering a defrost vent from Jaguar. Comes complete with the entire Dash:-)

You could try your local hardware store

I hear you... I agree with Sean, I would remove o-ring and go match it up at local hardware store...

I did that first, but there was obvious thickness differences. I have a "new" oring in, but it leaks badly. The old one is almost double thickness of a regular o-ring.

I ordered the whole pipe for $71.99 from my local dealer and it'll be here first thing tomorrow morning. If I had been smarter I would have saved the old one and taken it up to the manufacturing place and they would have made me one for $5. I"m just shocked, i've been searching the forum and I haven't seen anyone else that's come across this problem.
